Community Food Program
The Community Food Program increases access to food for families and individuals who cannot come to the pantry. In close collaboration with community partners, we bring healthy food to people in ways that makes it easy for them.
Agency Pick-ups
Staff and volunteers from social service agencies can pick up groceries for families or individuals who use their services. Families can choose the foods they want by completing a form indicating their preferences.
Developing Initiatives
Haley Jeansonne, our Community Food Program Coordinator is working with community partners, including those facing food access barriers, to develop and test out different food distribution methods.
Mobile Markets
We bring fresh foods to housing complexes and neighborhoods who need it most. This eliminates transportation barriers and makes the pantry more accessible.
Adding to Existing Deliveries
There are trusted community partners already delivering an abundance of food to those who need it. We are working with them to add fresh produce to their deliveries. In this way, we help families access as much fresh food as possible using existing networks.
If your organization would like to participate in agency pick-ups, provide transportation for families or individuals or work together to find new ways to increase access to healthy food, reach out to Haley Jeansonne,Program Coordinator.
