Chris Anna Nisbet is running in the Boston Marathon to raise money for A Place To Turn
I will be running my first Boston Marathon in 2025 to benefit Natick's very own food pantry, A Place to Turn. A Place to Turn provides families and individuals with healthy groceries, personal care items and diapers in an atmosphere of caring and mutual respect. Last year the pantry provided food for over 44,000 people, including over 17,000 children.
My husband, Alex and I, and our two children, Tory and Kayla, have lived down the street from A Place to Turn since 2020. After witnessing the benefit this food pantry has on the community, my daughter Tory and I began volunteering at the food pantry in 2023. Each month, we spend time at the pantry making snack bags, checking for expired food, and organizing food by category for our community neighbors.
I currently work at the USDA's Food and Nutrition Service and have spent my career working to help low income individuals and family's access healthy food. Prior to USDA, I worked at Project Bread - a Massachusetts non profit working to ensure everyone in Massachusetts has access to healthy meals. With an interest in improving food insecurity for those in need, I am very pleased to raise these much needed funds for a Place to Turn by running the Boston Marathon in their benefit.
A Place to Turn is such a positive part of our community, I am honored to represent them and raise money for them. Any amount is greatly appreciated and 100% goes to the purchase of nutritious food and supplies to help families in need.
THANK YOU!
