Personal Care and Household Items
Access to feminine hygiene, household and personal care products
At A Place to Turn, we know how important it is to have access to essential items like cleaning supplies, household items, and feminine hygiene products.
If you need these products, we’re here for you. We provide personal care items to ensure your health, comfort, and dignity are always a priority.
Founded in 2016 by Haley Gladstone, a 2019 Dover-Sherborn High School graduate, DONATE. collects sanitary pads and tampons for those in need of feminine products. This initiative is now led by a different high school student each year.
A Place To Turn also receives regular donations from Dignity Matters, who are valuable partners in helping us meet growing needs.
Why Feminine Hygiene Products
Access to these products is essential for health and dignity. Many families can’t afford sanitary pads and tampons, leading to missed school and work days and preventable health issues. Since you cannot use government benefits to purchase these items, it means difficult financial choices for families.
Household And Personal Care Items
We all have basic needs beyond food. Families are offered one household and one personal care item at every visit. Examples are laundry detergent, dish soap, toothpaste, or shampoo. We are able to offer these products to all families thanks to our partners who donate products, including Hope & Comfort and the MetroWest YMCA.
Want to help?
You can drop off products at A Place To Turn, buy online and have them sent directly to us, or donate financially and we’ll buy the product. All donations make an impact.
