Healthy food with Dignity.
At A Place to Turn, we provide MetroWest families with healthy food in a way that honors your dignity and choice.
Our choice food pantry lets you select the items your family prefers, so nothing goes to waste, and everyone gets the food they enjoy.
You know what your family likes best. Our pantry offers a variety of fresh foods, including meat, cheese, eggs, dairy, and produce, all year long. We believe everyone should have access to fresh, nutritious food that supports their well-being and that you know what food your family wants to eat, so you can pick what works for you.
Why It Matters
Everyone has preferences when it comes to food, and we believe that just because you are seeking help, you shouldn’t have to settle for food you don’t like. You have the freedom to choose. So, if your kids don’t like peas, but love corn, you can choose corn.
You can take home foods that fit your family's food traditions. Cooking meals that have been passed down for generations or that remind us of childhood brings comfort. Food is so much more than simple nutrition.
We do our best to offer you the ingredients you want to cook what you like.
A Simple Process with Dignity
We keep things easy—just bring proof of address, and you can access the food you need without any unnecessary barriers. Our friendly, trilingual staff are here to help, and our volunteers are ready to guide you through the process.
The towns that A Place To Turn currently serves include:
Ashland, Dover, Framingham, Marlborough, Medfield, Natick, Sherborn, Southborough, Sudbury, Wayland, Wellesley, and Weston.
Healthy Options Year-Round
We offer fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, along with other nutritious items, all year long.
Our pantry follows the USDA MyPlate standards, making it easy for you to create healthy, balanced meals for your family.
If you have school-age children, our Healthy Families program provides extra food for breakfast, lunch, and snacks, helping to keep your kids fueled for success.
Our produce selection is even more abundant during summer months thanks to our partnerships with local farms including Boston Area Gleaners; Framingham Community Farm; Powisset Farm; and Stearns Farm.
Year round we are able to offer more variety and choice because of our partnerships with Spoonfuls; Fair Foods; MOM’s Organic Market; Market Basket; Roche Bros.; Aldi and Stop n’ Shop
If you need food assistance, drop in during pantry hours and bring proof of a MetroWest address. You are welcome to use the pantry once every 30 days.
